The End of An Era!

 Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. This is my last post and it feels kind of weird because I got used to writing here about my tasks.

We created that blog for our lesson named Educational Technologies. This class aims to teach us how technology can be used effectively while teaching English. I think that this class taught us much more. Beside learning how to use technology, we also experienced group work and this experience gives us a clue about our future students. Before that class, I wasn’t aware of the importance of technology while teaching English. But now, I am aware of it and in my future classes I will use technology very effectively. Also; until we start teaching in classes, technology will be developed much more. That’s why we must follow technological developments all the time and integrate it into our lessons. In short; at the present time, we can’t ignore the benefits of technology while teaching and we should benefit from it. 

When we talk about our tasks, I guess the Padlet one is my favorite. Because, we did this task as a group of 4 and we enjoyed it a lot. My least favorite was podcast one because I had difficulties while recording my voice. Also the editing part was kind of difficult. But overall, I had fun while doing our assignments. 

It’s hard to say goodbye and I will miss this blog a lot. I hope that the other teacher candidates see this blog and enjoy reading.

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. Today I will write about our assignment in Educational Technologies class. Our latest assignment is using Padlet and creating a KWL chart there. Also this is a team work and I worked with Yonca , Yaren ve Betül . Before making the assignment, as a team we thought that working side by side is more effective. Creating a Digital Poster!

  Hi everyone, today I am going to write about the poster that we are assigned to make. Unlike the other tasks, this one single person task.  In this assignment, we have 2 options. One of them is creating a movie poster about the book that we read. The other one is creating a magazine cover. At first I thought of creating a movie poster and choosing my book. But then I realized that these books already have real movies, so I changed my mind and started to create a magazine cover. To create a poster, I searched for a couple of programs to edit but then I decided to use Canva . Canva also has an application for telephone and I used that because it was easier for me. Firstly, I checked the present magazine cover template for ideas and I chose one to edit it according to me. I couldn’t decide whether to create a cooking magazine cover or a music magazine cover. Flipped Classroom!

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about how to create a flipped classroom video. In our lesson Current Issues in ELT, we are required to create a flipped classroom video in pairs. Flipped classroom video aims to teach the lesson outside the classroom and create more time for in-class activities. In this approach, students will learn the topic from the video that the teacher prepared and when the students come to the classroom, they will be ready to do activities and practice. This approach has some advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are, by using flipped classroom videos there will be more time to practice in the classroom and learning progress will be more fun for the students. Possible disadvantages could be a lack of digital devices in students’ homes or technical problems like internet connections.
