My Experience About Reviewing a Movie

 Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. Today I’ll write about what we did and experienced while doing our assignment ‘A Film Review Project’. In this assignment, my peer was Azize Betül Demirtaş. Without her, this homework wouldn’t be this good. 

I should mention that what we should have done. First of all, we must choose a peer and a movie to watch. When the movie and the peer is ready, we should watch the movie with our full focus. After this; with our peer, we must exchange our ideas and comments about the movie to see from different  angles. If we make all of these, we can write the review. 

I briefly explained the stages of assignment and with Betül we did all of these stages. Firstly, we decide our movie which is Pocket Hercules: Naim Süleymanoğlu and watched it. After this, we wrote a review by considering all the aspects of movie like plot, cast team or accuracy. At the beginning, we were confused but then we figured out how to make the review.

Actually, I really enjoyed while doing this homework. Sharing ideas and seeing others comment about the movie makes the movie more permanent in my memory. Also, I’m not fan of watching movies but I have a long watchlist and writing a review about a movie can encourage us to watch more movie.

Creating a Digital Poster!

  Hi everyone, today I am going to write about the poster that we are assigned to make. Unlike the other tasks, this one single person task.  In this assignment, we have 2 options. One of them is creating a movie poster about the book that we read. The other one is creating a magazine cover. At first I thought of creating a movie poster and choosing my book. But then I realized that these books already have real movies, so I changed my mind and started to create a magazine cover. To create a poster, I searched for a couple of programs to edit but then I decided to use Canva . Canva also has an application for telephone and I used that because it was easier for me. Flipped Classroom!

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about how to create a flipped classroom video. In our lesson Current Issues in ELT, we are required to create a flipped classroom video in pairs. Flipped classroom video aims to teach the lesson outside the classroom and create more time for in-class activities. In this approach, students will learn the topic from the video that the teacher prepared and when the students come to the classroom, they will be ready to do activities and practice. This approach has some advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are, by using flipped classroom videos there will be more time to practice in the classroom and learning progress will be more fun for the students. Possible disadvantages could be a lack of digital devices in students’ homes or technical problems like internet connections.
