Hi everyone, this post going to be my last post for this lesson. I didn't realize how quickly time passed and I felt like my first post was like one week ago. Throughout the semester, I enjoyed learning something new every week but it was a little bit exhausting to follow. This lesson was inspiring for our future classroom management style. We are living in the 21 st century and integrating digital learning tools into our classes is very important. Because, in today’s world, students get distracted and bored very easily. For this reason, we need to make our lessons fun, interesting and interactive. So, I am sure that I am going to use digital learning tools in my future lessons. AI-Integrated Teaching Material

Hi everyone, today I am going to write about my last assignment in the Current Issues in ELT. During this lesson, we worked with different digital teaching tools and all of them were fun to learn. Our last assignment was creating AI-integrated teaching material. I created this activity with my classmate Azize Betül Demirtaş. First of all, we chose a topic and created a story by using Chat-gpt . After that, we created a movie poster using Microsoft Bing Image Creator related to the story. I had a lot of fun while using the image creator tool. Finally, by using Canva we created our activity. You can find the activity here . Bye! 😊

AR/VR INTEGRATED MATERIAL

Hi everyone, today I will write about our process of making AR/VR integrated material. I completed this task with my pair Betul . This material must include 360 videos, information videos or 360 museum trips.  Firstly we chose a city which is Rome. We chose Rome because we want to visit there someday and Rome has a lot of places to visit. As landmarks, we decided to use the Colosseum and Pantheon. These places have great history and gorgeous views. After that, we found appropriate videos and 360 views and converted their links into QR codes. While converting we had a little struggle but we found a better site to create a QR code.  Also, we were required to add a museum. We chose “ Museo Napoleónico” because it has precious artworks in it. We found a 360 tour for the museum at this site and added it to our worksheet. Flipped Classroom!

Hi everyone! Today I am going to write about how to create a flipped classroom video. In our lesson Current Issues in ELT, we are required to create a flipped classroom video in pairs. Flipped classroom video aims to teach the lesson outside the classroom and create more time for in-class activities. In this approach, students will learn the topic from the video that the teacher prepared and when the students come to the classroom, they will be ready to do activities and practice. This approach has some advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are, by using flipped classroom videos there will be more time to practice in the classroom and learning progress will be more fun for the students. Possible disadvantages could be a lack of digital devices in students’ homes or technical problems like internet connections. CREATING A CORPUS-BASED MATERIAL

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! In this post, I am going to write about my experience while creating a corpus-based teaching material. I did this material with Betül .  The first step was finding a topic from the given book. This book has 20 but it was hard to find an appropriate topic to use with material. I searched for the units from 11 to 20 and Betül searched from 1 to 10. After the searches, we decided to use the differences between -ed/-ing adjectives. We chose this because it is very confusing and especially in here, Turkey, students mostly do not know the correct usage. After completing this material, students will be able to distinguish between the adjectives -ed and -ing. After that, we continued with creating material. This process was fun because we used the website Canva to create material and we considered the ages of the target audience which is 13-14. It's been a long time since I wrote on this blog.  I created this blog in my Educational Technologies class and this year we have a class named Current Issues and we will use this blog again. The End of An Era!

  Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. This is my last post and it feels kind of weird because I got used to writing here about my tasks. We created that blog for our lesson named Educational Technologies. This class aims to teach us how technology can be used effectively while teaching English. I think that this class taught us much more. Beside learning how to use technology, we also experienced group work and this experience gives us a clue about our future students. Before that class, I wasn’t aware of the importance of technology while teaching English. But now, I am aware of it and in my future classes I will use technology very effectively. Also; until we start teaching in classes, technology will be developed much more. That’s why we must follow technological developments all the time and integrate it into our lessons.
